Limited chemical projections
There are situations in which a worker can be exposed accidentally to small projections of attacking liquids, such as acids, alkalis and solvents, that can be dangerous to health.
One of the means of countering this hazard is to wear clothing commonly referred to as "acid-resistant" and certified in accordance with standard EN13034.
Directive 89/686/CEE art. 3.10.2. Protection against contact with the skin or eyes
"PPE intended to prevent superficial contact of all or part of the body with dangerous substances and infectious agents must be able to counter the penetration or dissemination of such substances through the protective layer, under the foreseeable conditions for which such PPE is marketed."
