Technical description
This fabric has been mercerised. This process expands the cotton fibre, thereby increasing the colour fastness because the dye is better able to penetrate right to the heart of the fibre. This treatment enhances the glossiness, the aptitude for dyeing and the mould resistance. This treatment is generally only carried out on threads and fabrics of fine quality. |
